| My copies just arrived today. Watched all the pvs and most of them looks really nice. My fav. pv among them is Kanna & Ouchie Kaerou. Eriko looks so natural and beautiful in the pv, although it only focus on her face but i just cant take my eyes off her. It totally worth it if u thinking of putting a capture as ur wallpaper. And for ouchie, i really love her interaction with Raimu. and Raimu is SOOO~~ cute. and if u miss eriko long hair.. this pv is just for u.. haha.. she looks cute in her spec also. haha.. like a teacher lor. |

| I somehow could understand why this album does not sell so well... Utagoe does lack some commercial elements to attract audience, and most of the songs have similar instruments as backgrounds. Maybe it's just me but I feel most old tracks in Neverland is better than Utagoe, even though Utagoe provides better mixing. I do adore Kanna, Yurikago, Ikiteiru koto subete ni imi ga aru, Aida and We can go. At least Utagoe sells 3 times more than Neverland. (^_^) |

I don't really think it's a good comparison between Neverland and Utagoe in terms of sales, cos for obvious reasons, Neverland was an independent release whereas Utagoe is released by AVEX.
It's better to compare it to 'Stairway' which sold about 7k. I'm still holding hope that it'll sell at least 10k. Of if they could put her album display besides SPEED's new single when it comes out to boost a bit of sales. |

Yeah that's true, but I just tried to look at things positively. XD
I hope this album could reach at least 6k...
Hopefully they will display the album as you mentioned, but most stores do separate male/female/group releases... (>_<)
We need promotion for Utagoe! |

| ^ Lol yeah, it's strange/sad to see that Eriko didn't have a successful career as a solo singer but yet manages to be quite successful as a member of SPEED. Which makes me wonder if Eriko will still have her chances to release solo material given the not-so-good amount of sales she had for 'Utagoe'. Oh well, at least she fares just about the same as those used-to-sell female singers from AVEX like Ami Suzuki, hitomi, Hitomi Shimantani, Tomiko Van etc. |

I guess visibility does play a huge role. SPEED reuniting definitely gave her a boost, but I also wonder that if this release under-performs, whether Avex will stop promoting her solo stuff. Maybe it depends on if and when the other members put out solo stuff and how well they do? There's talks of Hiroko putting out new stuff (yay! coco d'or returns!), but I'm not sure about Takako and Hitoe.

I totally agree with this. While Eriko is undoubtedly a talented performer and song writer, Utagoe isn't exactly on the cutting edge of pop music. Which is totally fine, Eriko should do the music she wants to do. Maybe it all goes back to visibility...I wonder why VF didn't have her promoting on any of the music shows? |
